HOW IT STARTED: A STROKE OF LUCK & LABOR OF LOVE!

THE LATIN JAZZ SHOW (The Voice of Latin Jazz and Salsa)
The Latin Jazz Show was created, and first produced on April 6, 2005 in the City of Richmond, Virginia.  Initially, the founder and host, "The Voice of Latin Jazz" Luis (Sweet Lou) Hidalgo, was interested in buying advertising time on a local radio station in the Richmond area, for his family owned and operated plumbing company, Master and Sons Plumbing.  While he was inquiring about buying air time, a conversation was struck up between the Station owner, Mr. Brown and Mr Hidalgo about buying air time, not just advertising time. With no radio experience “under his belt”, but a substantial knowledge of Latin music, Mr Hidalgo decided to take on this new venture, and so The Latin Jazz Show was born. The Latin Jazz Show aired for the first time on April 6, 2005 on WCLM 1450 AM in the City of Richmond, Virginia.  Hosting the show alone for more than two years, the show was an instant hit, and because of the limited radio broadcasts featuring Latin music in the Richmond/Tri-Cities area, continues to be a hit to this day.

The Latin Jazz Show is sponsored and produced by Master and Sons Plumbing which is owned and operated by Mr Luis (Sweet Lou) Hidalgo, and Community Mortgage Services, Inc., owned and operated by co-host of The Latin Jazz Show, Mr Miguel  (El Guiro) Lebron, who joined the show in October of 07 and has made major contributions to the show with his on air personality and style. Rounding out the staff of The Latin Jazz Show are producers Jimmy "Sabor" Castro, who has brought interviews and music to the show, as well as his many years of on air experience. Willie "Don Pepin de la Salsa" Rodriguez, with his music and knowledge of the history of Latin music. Engineer/producer from Disco Mobile Fusion Orangel "Bam-Bam" Bustamante with his enthusiasm and knowledge of audio engineering.

The Latin Jazz Show is on the air every Friday from 6pm – 10pm on WCLM 1450 AM in Richmond, VA and simulcast on the internet on www.thelatinjazzshow.netUSTREAM.TV, and on www.wclmradioonline.com. The Latin Jazz Show reaches not only listeners in the Richmond/Tri-Cities area, but listeners all over the world. On air calls have come in from as far as the Phillipines, New York, Florida, Massachusetts, Puerto Rico, Arizona, Las Vegas, California, Oregon, Nevada, World Wide......................
